My Philosophy

My Philosophy on Junior Development in Pickleball One of the main challenges in junior sports is the lack of competitive opportunities, especially tournaments, which are crucial to keeping young athletes motivated and helping them set tangible goals. Competition drives improvement, and without it, many juniors lose interest or stagnate in their development.

I’ve identified the 10-16 age group as key to building strong, competitive players. During these years, kids are developing both physically and mentally, and it’s the perfect time to prepare them for high school competitions. The aim is to build well-rounded players who can excel at a high level by the time they reach high school, putting them on the path to future success in the sport.

To address this need, I’m establishing a Junior Pickleball League in South Florida, starting with a team at Patch Reef Tennis Center. This league will provide consistent competition and structured training, creating a pathway for young athletes to develop their skills and love for the game. As we expand the league by forming teams at other clubs, we’ll build a community of motivated, goal-driven players ready to take their game to the next level.
